To Ket: Sorry that I misspelled your name in the message below. I need new glasses! It's on my list of "to do's" for this week. I can't find your crankie video on you tube or vimeo. I will send an email and you can send a link. Look forward to seeing it! Sue

To Andy, Sorry for the delayed reply. I carefully typed out some suggestions for you. But I guess it was too much text for the space and the website deleted it. :-( I decided to add a webpage to the site which gives suggestions for these common problems
I will be in touch!

Hi Sue! My husband made me a 'table top' Kamishibai, so not mounted to the back of my bike. Although I'm dutch and we use bikes every where ;-)

TO EMMY REICHGELT: Thank you so much for sending the picture of your matchbox crankie!!❤️❤️❤️❤️ I looked at your website and yes, I agree, you should make a crankie show.
I am familiar with kamishibai. My friend Dmitri Carter has an antique one
on display at the NW Puppet Center in Seattle. Do you have it mounted to the back of a bike??

TO CECILIA FORD: Thank you for asking the question about scissors and cutting shadow puppets. This is not my area is expertise but I use scissors too. I have three different pair of Fiskars. They are all meant for sewing and cutting small things. One pair
has curved blades and that has been helpful. I looked on their website and learned that they have a table top scissors sharpener for $11.00. I did not know!! I am going to invest in one because yes, cutting paper will dull them.
I use scissors because
I have been a sewer/ quilter for 50 years and scissors feel comfortable to me. However, for very fine cuts, I will use an exacto knife. I have watched both Dejah Leger and Katherine Fahey use an exacto knife to cut puppets and it's like watching magic in front
of your eyes! Best of luck to you!! Here is the website http://www2.fiskars.com/Products/Crafting-and-Sewing/Scissors-and-Shears
